Have you ever felt like your life was just plain pathetic? Have you ever felt like your life was just sad? And all you want to do is talk to someone and cry for a while? And eat lots of cookies? I've been feeling like this lately, and it's hard to deal with. Your mind goes everywhere, you're either mad or sad all the time, you continually complain and are sometimes ungrateful for what you have, and you envy someone else's "perfect" life while yours continue to frustrate you. So, how do you get over this feeling? After you've realized that you're ready to let your feelings go, spend some time with God. You need Him! Let His love wash over you! Ask God to take those feelings away and replace them with His peace, love, and joy. Read your Bible and just enjoy being in His presence. Listen to some uplifting music; music that will encourage you, make you want to dance and remind you of the beautiful life that God has given you. Check out my blog post called "My Summer Music Favs" for some music suggestions. I also have some music playlists on the "Resources" page too. Talk to someone (whoever you can trust). I usually talk to my Mom, my Dad, or my Spiritual Mentor. God has put people in your life for a reason; talk to them. They always help me to realize what God is doing in my life and how to handle my life in a God-honoring way. Do something fun. Whatever you like to do that helps you to calm down, do it. Whether it's being with family, watching your favorite show, eating your favorite food, drawing or playing a game. For me it's talking to my mom, eating good food, and doing photo shoots with my sister! By the way, that tank that I'm wearing is no ordinary tank for me. It's a reminder for myself that no matter what I have or don't have or whether life is smooth sailing or not, Life is Pretty Amazing. The fact that God loves me and is in my life, the fact that I've still got my family, and the fact that I'm still here makes Life Pretty Amazing. Thank you, God!
I hope that this post has helped you to get through this. Just talk to God, refresh your mind and start over. Peace-Love-and-Joy, Grace
